Stepup Scaffold's factories implement Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing

Stepup Scaffold, a division of Sunshine Enterprise, Inc, will start implementing Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing in its two "American Factories in Chinese Land."

The first project started on March 8, 2009 and will last for 8 weeks for DMAIC process: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. The project will focus on the production of Ring Lock system scaffold products. Mr. Sam Reese, the Chief Representative of Sunshine Enterprise, Inc. living in China for the extended period, will be responsible for the implementation process. He has obtained Six Sigma training from Villanova University based in Tampa, FL.

"The customers do not feel comfortable about variations in lead time and product quality. Six Sigma provides the method for the factories to systematically address the root causes of such variations and reduce them,"said Mr. Reese, "Our factories have already laid a strong foundation in management and workforce because of the unique concept of American Factory in Chinese Land. The factory's management team is very excited about this project and fully embracing this effort. It enables me to implement Lean Six Sigma manufacturing smoothly and successfully."

"During this global economic recession, a lot of factories have cut back their expenses. But, one thing we cannot cut is the continuous improvement on the overall quality standard and consistent delivery time,"said Mr. Wei Chen, CEO of Sunshine Enterprise, Inc., " We are proud that Stepup Scaffold's factory is the first scaffolding factory in China to implement Lean Six Sigma manufacturing. I am confident that this program will increase the customer's overall satisfaction in quality and delivery time, which is our company's ultimate mission: Quality, Service, Satisfaction."

Stepup Scaffold is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors for steel and aluminum scaffolding products in North America.
