YPO Network Hosts Fourth Annual China Summit

Shenzhen, CHINA, Oct 29, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - The "Doing Business With China" Network of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), the world's premier peer network of chief executives and business leaders, held its fourth China Summit in Shenzhen from 18-20 October, gathering 52 young global leaders from 17 countries interested in pursuing business opportunities in China.

YPO's "Doing Business With China" Network provides YPO members with access to knowledge, resources, information and contacts to help foster business development in China. Globally, YPO provides 23,000 business leaders in 130 countries with access to leading educational institutions, networking opportunities with global business leaders, and participation in specialised networks to support their business, community and personal leadership.

Each year, the network holds a summit in a different Chinese city, inviting members to meet with companies, business leaders, and heads of local government to learn more about opportunities in China and help bridge cultural and business traditions between continents. This year, chaired by YPO members Randy Xu, Wei Chen, Michael Lu and Vincent Lin, the Summit introduced attendees to Shenzhen, China's first Special Economic Zone.

"As the frontline of China's technology and financial innovation and the birthplace of China's modern infrastructure and processing industries, Shenzhen was an obvious choice as the host city of our annual event," said Wei Chen, China Summit co-chair, co-founder and chairman of Sun Pacific Bank, and chair of the YPO Doing Business With China Network. "YPO members are uniquely poised to make a positive contribution to the future of business in China and learned from some of the brightest and most innovative business leaders in North Asia during the event. The China Summit connected and inspired attendees, preparing them to embark on new journeys in the business world."

The two-day event fully immersed YPO members into an exploration of the Chinese economic and business world, covering topics including investment and financing opportunities, retail market trends, manufacturing, ecommerce, globalization and the economic pulse of China.

Kicking off the summit, attendees participated in a dinner with guests U.S. Congressmen Robert Pittenger and Steve Russell, there to discuss U.S-China relations. Also in attendance was Vice Mayor Ai Xuefeng.

China Summit speakers included:

- Tommi Laine-Ylijoki, president of Huawei Device Demand & Supply
- Martin Lau, president and executive director of Tencent
- Lewis Liao, managing director of Quest Composite
- Aaron Tong, managing director of TCL Capital
- Roger Ying, CEO and founder of Pandai

In total, the event featured keynotes from 10 YPO members who span across North Asia. Member entrepreneurs imparted their success stories from industries such as ecotourism, technology and manufacturing, all serving to inspire and create passion for strengthening global business in China.
